Which 2024 Rookie-Class QBs Are Worth Buying in 2026?
The 2024 quarterback class came into the league as the most hyped group of passers in years, and a year ago every one of them was still a bet on upside. Now the 2026 season is in full swing, these guys are in year three, and the tape is doing what tape does: separating the risers from the holds from the wait-and-sees. For collectors, that sorting is exactly when rookie-card prices move.
Here is where all six stand right now and what it means for their rookie cards. This is a companion to our most-read guide, Best PSA 10 Rookie Cards to Buy in 2026, and our under-$100 value guide. Every player below has graded rookies in stock at JerseyDon.
Drake Maye, New England Patriots
The breakout of the class, full stop. Maye has turned into a genuine MVP candidate in 2026, leading New England and engineering comeback wins against top competition. When a young quarterback makes this kind of leap, his rookie market is the one that moves first and fastest. This is the name in the class whose cards you want before the rest of the hobby fully catches up. We carry him at both ends, from a $15 rated rookie to a high-end Silver Prizm.
Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
Still the crown jewel of the class on pedigree. Daniels won 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year and took Washington on a deep playoff run, and he remains the most accomplished passer of the group. A dislocated elbow cost him a couple of games this season, and that is exactly the kind of short-term news that can soften a card price on a player whose long-term outlook has not changed. For believers, a dip on a proven winner is an opportunity.
Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons
Arrow pointing up. Penix missed the early part of the 2026 season, then came back and immediately produced, throwing for 256 yards in a lopsided win in his season debut. He is getting the reps that turn a developmental pick into a starter the market takes seriously. At current prices his gem rookies are one of the better speculative buys in the class.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
The steady one. Nix led Denver to a top seed as a sophomore and remains a reliable NFL starter, but year three has been solid rather than spectacular, with the Broncos hovering around .500. That keeps his market flat: a dependable hold rather than a mover. His PSA 10 base rookie is still one of the most underpriced gems we carry for the production he has already put up.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
The name value is the story here. Williams was the #1 overall pick and is the deepest, most-searched name in our NFL inventory, which keeps steady demand under his cards. A hamstring injury has cost him time in 2026, slowing the on-field narrative, but the recognition and the Chicago market keep his floor firm. A hold with real upside the moment he strings together a healthy run.
J.J. McCarthy, New York Giants
The wait-and-see. McCarthy has been traded to the Giants and currently sits third on the depth chart behind Jameis Winston, without having taken a meaningful snap. Talent aside, a rookie-card market needs a catalyst, and a quarterback who is not on the field does not have one. His cards are cheap for a reason right now. Only worth a position if you are betting on a long-term change in situation.
The Bottom Line
Three years in, the class has a clear shape. Buy the riser (Maye), buy the dip on pedigree (Daniels), and speculate on the healthy climber (Penix). Hold the steady names (Nix, Williams) and wait on the one without a job (McCarthy). The window to buy a breakout before his price catches up is always short.
